Proposal for Brewed Mornings — Performance Marketing Sprint

Prepared by Aanya Sharma ·  Date TODAY ·  Valid +7 DAYS ·  Reading time ~6 min

What We Observed

  • Revenue: ₹8L/month, 16 months in, 2.3× blended ROAS
  • Founder running paid ads in-house, two sub-brands launched
  • No retention infrastructure — no welcome flow, no abandoned cart, no SMS
  • Benchmarking against Sleepy Owl and The Whole Truth (your words)

Diagnosis

Our read: creative fatigue is the immediate threat — when hooks stop converting, CAC creeps up, and at 2.3× ROAS the margin to absorb the creep is narrow. The deeper problem is that the founder is both strategist and operator on ads, which caps how many creatives can be tested per week.

Reality Check

Worth flagging early: the scope you described (creative + retention + UGC) at the timeline you described is tight for one quarter. Three honest options —

  • Option 1 — Reduce scope. Ship creative + retention; UGC into Phase 2.
  • Option 2 — Extend timeline. All three workstreams across 4 months.
  • Option 3 — Increase budget. Add a creative producer; original scope holds.

Our recommendation: Option 1. Retention infrastructure compounds; UGC is bandwidth-heavy and pays off above ₹25L/month.

Consultant Perspective

If this were my business, I'd kill the UGC pilot for now. At ₹8L/month with two founders, the bandwidth cost of managing creator pipelines isn't worth the content-cost savings yet. I'd put that bandwidth into the email/SMS retention build, which compounds on every customer you already paid CAC for. Second-order watch: a sharper retention engine often surfaces an unrelated problem next — onboarding friction. That's where the next engagement lives.

Investment

Total: ₹85,000/month + GST · 3-month sprint.

Less than hiring one mid-level performance marketer in Mumbai.

02 · The engine

CloseKit doesn't just write.
It thinks.

Every proposal flows through five stages of structured judgment before a single word lands on the page.

  1. 01

    What We Observed

Facts pulled straight from your brief, transcript, or notes. No interpretation, no fabrication — just what's actually in the inputs.

  2. 02

    Diagnosis

The interpretation. What the observations mean. Tagged as opinion, not fact — so the reader can calibrate their trust per claim.

  3. 03

    Recommendation

What should happen first, what waits, what trade-off you're accepting. A senior consultant takes a position. CloseKit does too.

  4. 04

    Consultant Perspective

The owner's voice. “If this were my business…” — allowed to challenge your plan, recommend work outside the scope, even tell you the engagement might be wrong for you right now.

  5. 05

    Proposal

Scope, timeline, investment, governance, risks, assumptions — the contract document, built on top of the thinking. Not a template. Not a fill-in-the-blank.

Most tools draft. CloseKit decides.

03 · The gap

The work isn't the problem.
The artifact is.

Most Indian freelancers lose deals at the proposal stage — not the pitch, not the price, the document itself. Sent late, written soft, priced without conviction.

“Let me think about it.”

They were interested. Then they went quiet. Not because someone better turned up — because your offer didn't make them certain.

Undercharged. Again.

You quoted low hoping for a yes. They sensed the hesitation. They negotiated lower. Or they walked.

By the time you sent it, the moment had passed.

The proposal took hours. The lead went cold. It wasn't about speed. It was about not having a system.

Weaker work, bigger contracts.

You watch competitors win clients you should have won. Same craft. Better positioning. That's the whole game.

04 · The shift

What changes when you have
a system behind you.

Without CloseKit
Staring at a blank doc, trying to write a proposal from scratch.
Guessing what to charge — and hoping for the best.
Sending something generic and praying it lands.
Following up awkwardly. Sounding desperate.
Watching the deal slip away silently.
With CloseKit
Editorial-grade proposal in minutes — ready to send.
Offer structured to justify your real price.
Proposal that speaks directly to the client's problem.
Clear next-step CTA that moves the conversation forward.
You close — while the lead is still warm.
05 · How it works

Four steps.
One closing-ready proposal.

01

Tell CloseKit about the deal

Service, client, deliverables, price. Four fields. Thirty seconds. No writing required.

02

We structure your offer

Not just text. A closing framework — problem, solution, deliverables, price, conviction. Built to remove hesitation.

03

Review. Edit. Export.

Your proposal comes out clean and ready. Download as PDF. Send a link. Personalise if you want. Or send as-is.

04

Send while it's warm.

Speed is a feature. The best time to send a proposal is within hours of the conversation. CloseKit makes that possible.

06 · Who it's for

If this sounds like you,
you need CloseKit.

The freelancer

“I'm good at the work. I just don't know how to sell it.”

Designer. Developer. Writer. Editor. The work is excellent — the proposal undersells it. CloseKit closes the gap between your craft and your sales.

The coach / consultant

“Free content lands. Paid offers don't.”

You have knowledge. You have an audience. Converting a DM into a paying client feels impossible. CloseKit packages the offer so the value is visible.

The small studio

“We lose to bigger agencies even when we're better.”

Your work is strong. Your proposals look like they took twenty minutes — because they did. CloseKit gives a three-person studio the proposal of a fifty-person firm.

The new closer

“I don't even know how to structure what I'm offering.”

You're early. You're figuring this out. CloseKit is the shortcut — packaging, framing, presenting — so you look professional before you feel ready.

07 · Who made this
Ami, founder of CloseKit

Built by an
Indian founder.

Hi, I’m Ami. I built CloseKit after losing a deal I should have won — not on the work, not on the price, but on the proposal. It made the client’s decision harder than it needed to be. CloseKit is the tool I wish I’d had that night.

08 · Tool vs. studio

A prompt is a blank canvas.
CloseKit is a closing studio.

A blank prompt can do many things. Closing clients isn't one of them — not without the structure, voice, and framework baked in. That's CloseKit.

A blank prompt
Empty chat box — figure out what to type.
Generic output, heavy editing required.
No closing structure built in.
No PDF, no share link, no sign-in-thread.
Not built for India SaaS / services / pricing.
Most users never reach for it for proposals.
CloseKit
Tell us about the deal. Proposal back in seconds.
Engineered closing framework, ready to send.
Hook → problem → solution → price → next step.
PDF, shareable link, view tracking, sign-in-thread.
INR pricing context, Devanagari + English + Hinglish.
Built for one job: closing.

04

05

Write the same proposal in English, Hindi, or Hinglish. The voice stays yours.
10 · Objections, handled

We know what you're
thinking right now.

“I'm a beginner. I don't even have clients yet.”
Perfect. Your first proposal will look more considered than most three-year freelancers'. Start before you feel ready. That's how you get ready.
“Can't I just use ChatGPT for free?”
You could. You probably won't. And if you did, you'd spend forty-five minutes prompting, editing, formatting, exporting — every time. CloseKit is the system. The prompt isn't the work.
“Will this actually help me close clients?”
CloseKit can't close for you. But it removes every bottleneck between “interested” and “invoiced” — confusion, weak framing, delays, underwhelming presentation. If you have leads, CloseKit gives you a fighting chance at every one.
“What if my service is niche?”
The closing framework is service-agnostic. Designer in Bangalore, HR consultant in Delhi, growth lead anywhere — same architecture: show you understand the problem, present the solution, make the price obvious, name the next step.
