Privacy Policy
Plain English. No template-vomit. Here is exactly what we collect, where it lives, what we never do with it, and how to delete it.
Last updated: 2 June 2026 · Effective immediately for new users.
1. What we collect
Three buckets, nothing more:
- Account email — when you sign in via magic link or Google. Used to identify you across visits.
- Studio data on your device — your voice samples, case studies, services catalog, defaults. Stored in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to our servers unless you share a proposal that uses them.
- Proposal content you generate — your brief + the generated output. Sent to Anthropic via OpenRouter for the AI step. Stored only if you create a shareable link.
2. Where it lives
- Account + share-link content: Upstash Redis (EU region). Encrypted at rest.
- Sign-in emails: sent via Resend.
- AI generation: Anthropic Claude via OpenRouter. Inputs are processed and returned; not used to train models per Anthropic's API terms.
- Hosting: Vercel (US + EU regions per their edge network).
- Studio data: stays on your device. Period.
3. Open / sign tracking on shared links
When you create a shareable proposal link (/p/[slug]), we record when the recipient opens it and when they sign it. We store a privacy-preserving fingerprint (rough geolocation from IP, user-agent string) — never the raw IP, never identifying personal data. This lets you see "Riya opened your proposal from Pune" without us building a tracking database.
4. What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your data. Ever.
- Use your proposal content to train AI models. (Anthropic doesn't either, per their API terms.)
- Show ads.
- Drop tracking cookies. We have one cookie: your sign-in session.
- Email you anything beyond sign-in links + transactional alerts (e.g. "your proposal was opened"), unless you explicitly opt in.
5. Your rights
You can request deletion of everything we have on you at any time by emailing the contact in the footer. We'll process the request within 7 days and confirm by reply.
You can also clear your Studio data yourself — settings menu → clear local data — without contacting us.
6. Children
CloseKit is built for working professionals. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.
7. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a fresh "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept it; if you don't, email us to delete your data.
8. Contact
Questions, deletion requests, anything else: use the contact link in the footer.
