Terms Of Service
Plain English. The deal between you and CloseKit. Use the product, we'll do our part; don't do anything illegal with it, and we'll keep building.
Last updated: 2 June 2026 · Governing law: India.
1. What CloseKit is
An AI-assisted proposal studio for Indian freelancers, consultants, and small studios. You provide a discovery call, brief, or notes; CloseKit produces a structured proposal with diagnosis, recommendation, and consultant perspective.
2. You own what you generate
Every proposal you generate through CloseKit is yours. You can edit it, send it, sell the engagement it describes — no attribution to CloseKit required (though we'd appreciate a word-of-mouth if it helps you close).
We claim no rights to your output. Your Studio data (voice samples, case studies, services) remains yours; we never republish it.
3. AI may make mistakes
CloseKit uses Claude, a large language model. We've added structural guardrails — the sanitizer, anti-fabrication rules, tier-aware tone — but no AI is perfect. Before you send a proposal, read it. If it cites a number you don't recognise, doesn't fit your situation, or recommends something you wouldn't agree with, edit it. The buyer is going to read it carefully; you should too.
CloseKit is a tool. You are the consultant.
4. What you can't do
- Use CloseKit to generate proposals for illegal services (anywhere in the world we operate).
- Reverse-engineer the product, scrape the engine, or build a competing AI proposal tool on top of CloseKit's outputs.
- Abuse the rate limits or attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Use CloseKit to impersonate someone you're not.
5. No warranties
CloseKit is provided "as is". We don't guarantee: uptime, accuracy of generated content, fit for any specific client engagement, or that the buyer will sign. We work hard on quality; we won't promise outcomes.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, CloseKit's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous twelve months — which is zero during the launch period.
7. Pricing
CloseKit is free during launch. When paid plans land, we'll announce them on the homepage with at least 14 days' notice before charging. Anyone who signed up during the free launch period gets first-access pricing.
8. E-signature compliance
When a recipient signs a proposal through the hosted page (/p/[slug]), the signature is captured per India's Information Technology Act, 2000. It binds the recipient to the terms inside the proposal. CloseKit stores the signature record (signer name, timestamp, content hash) as part of the audit trail; we don't share it with third parties.
9. Termination
You can stop using CloseKit at any time. Email us if you want your account + data deleted; we'll process within 7 days.
We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. We'll notify you by email before doing so unless the violation requires immediate action (e.g. abuse, illegal content).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Indian law. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where the founder currently resides (currently: India). If you're using CloseKit from outside India, this still applies.
11. Changes
If we change these terms materially, we'll post the new version here and notify signed-in users by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms: use the contact link in the footer. We read everything.
